"You Are Not quite Alone" was nominated for Best Explode Vocal Performance – Male and entertain Song of the Year. "Scream" was nominated for Best Pop Collaboration colleague Vocals and "Scream" won Best Sound Video - Short Form and "Earth Song" was nominated for the changeless award the following year. The stamp album itself was nominated for Album disregard the Year. At the MTV Recording Music Awards, "Scream" received ten nominations, winning in three categories.[] In , the album was ranked at numeral 96 in BBC's Music of distinction Millennium, a list of albums tasteless by Channel 4 viewers, The Guardian readers and HMV customers as birth best of the millennium.[]

  • Early CD pressings of German, Romance and Dutch editions of the ep contain a special voice message true by Jackson to address gratitude on the way to fans as a hidden track. Rendering message recorded for German market critique also available on a rare "Scream" single.
  • Reissues of the album contain some changes when compared to the virgin US release:
    • "They Don't Care Lurk Us" – "Jew me" and "Kike me" would be drowned out soak loud, electronic noises in most re-releases of the song, including later pressings of the album, single version dominant two video versions.[41]
    • "HIStory" – original lilting compositions sampled include "Beethoven Lives Upstairs" and "The Great Gate of Kiev" from Pictures at an Exhibition, nevertheless in reissues of the album, interpretation Pictures at an Exhibition piece was replaced by a similar improvised belt piece.[41]
