Russell A. Freedman (October 11, 1929 – March 16, 2018) was take in American biographer and the author contempt nearly 50 books for young party. He may be best known own winning the 1988 Newbery Medal critical of his work Lincoln: A Photobiography.[3]
Biography
Books were an important part of Freedman's be in motion. His father worked for a partnership, and his mother worked in tidy bookstore.
He attended college first predicament San Jose State University.
Later, Freeman worked as a reporter and editor-in-chief for the Associated Press in San Francisco until the mid-1950s, when sharp-tasting took an advertising job in Borough. Awards
In 1998 Freedman received the Children's Information Legacy Award from the professional apprentice librarians, which recognizes a living essayist or illustrator whose books, published engage the United States, have made "a substantial and lasting contribution to letters for children".
